Window replacement cost in Spokane

Published national guides disagree with each other. Use them to plan a conversation, then get quotes for your openings. This page does not invent a Spokane average.
There is no Spokane price on this page. The figures below are national planning ranges from published cost guides. They are estimates. They are not quotes, and they are not a survey of local invoices. Two guides can both be "right" and still disagree, because one is counting a whole project and another is counting a single installed vinyl window.
| Guide | Published range | What it is counting |
|---|---|---|
| HomeAdvisor, updated June 17, 2026 | About $300 to $2,100 per window. The average they publish is about $850. | A national per-window replacement range. Materials, size, and installation are mixed together. |
| Angi, updated October 15, 2026 | Project average $7,348. Most projects they describe fall between $3,436 and $11,838. About $750 per window, with individual windows from $300 to $2,500. | National project data Angi ties to 17,857 projects. Not a Spokane sample. A project total is not a per-window price. |
| Fixr, updated January 21, 2026 | About $350 to $800 per vinyl window installed. The average they publish is about $575. | Installed vinyl windows, nationally. A different slice than a whole-house project average. |
HomeAdvisor's material table also lists vinyl around $100 to $900 for the window itself, separate from the wider installed range above. Angi's frame table lists vinyl at $100 to $900 as well. Read those as published national bands for the frame category, not as the installed price Fixr is describing. A Spokane quote can sit outside every one of these bands.
What moves the number on an actual house
- How many openings, and how large they are. A picture window and a small bath window are not the same unit.
- Frame material. Vinyl is the common replacement. Fiberglass, wood, and composite cost differently. The guides above do not agree on a single premium.
- Insert or full-frame. HomeAdvisor notes that full-frame replacement costs more than a retrofit, because the old frame comes out and the trim is redone. This page does not invent a dollar gap for that difference.
- Glass. Double-pane low-E is the usual replacement. Triple-pane costs more and is a comfort conversation, not a requirement this site can make for you.
- A new egress opening, a window well, or a second-story ladder. Those are labor, not just a sash.
- A soft, rotten frame, or lead-safe work on a house built before 1978. See the EPA lead renovation rule.
- Permits. HomeAdvisor mentions budgeting on the order of $50 to $300 when a project alters structure. That is their national note, not the City of Spokane or Spokane County fee schedule. Ask the building department what the current fee is.
Compare quotes that name the same openings, the same install type (insert or full-frame), the U-factor, who pulls the permit, and whether haul-away and interior trim are included. Manufacturer warranties and installer warranties are different promises, and this site offers neither.
Questions about price
How much does window replacement cost in Spokane?
This site does not have a Spokane price list. National guides published in 2026 show a wide band, from a few hundred dollars per window to a couple of thousand, depending on which guide you read and whether it counts the window only, installation, or a whole project. A quote for a specific house can land outside those ranges.
Why do the published ranges disagree?
They count different things. A per-window average that mixes materials is not the same number as an installed vinyl window, and a whole-house project total is not a per-window price. Use the ranges as a planning band, then compare written quotes that list the same openings.
What changes a quote the most?
Window count and size, frame material, the glass package, and whether the old frame stays or comes out. A new basement egress opening with a well is a different project from replacing a sash. Rot in the frame, lead-safe work on a pre-1978 house, and a permit when the opening changes also move the price.
